In October this year, the Rapid Relief Team (RRT) which Webbline Agriculture is a key supporter, held their fourth Farmers Community Connect event. Held in the eastern regions of the Hawkes Bay, specifically in Wairoa and Waipukarau, this event was a welcome relief for farmers still reeling from the effects of Cyclone Gabrielle.
Farmers Community Connect events, are more than just relief initiatives with free coffee and burgers. These gatherings provide practical assistance and perhaps more critically aim to help foster a sense of community and resilience among farmers. Over 250 fencing repair packages including posts, battens, wire, permanent strainers, staples, and crimps – were issued, and there is a key focus on connecting farmers with local, rural financial counselling, veterinary and mental wellbeing support services.
The team at Webbline , were proud to support these events. We value our place in the farming community and are commitment to the resilience and prosperity of the agricultural sector.
