SIP Star 1250 50T swather rake

The latest design SIP Star 1250 50T Swather Rake is a four rotor model in SIP’s high-capacity range of harvesting solutions for larger farmers and agricultural contractors.

This rake has an adjustable working width from 9.90 – 12.5m and is designed for durability and efficiency to deliver an even and clean central swath. This makes it easy to harvest, saving time, energy and money.

For excellent tracking of the ground, all rear rotors are equipped with step tandems at the front of the rotor and special swivel wheels at the rear, which ensure excellent manoeuvrability of the machine when working. For even better ground tracking, a triple step tandem is available on the rotor chassis, which allows for excellent terrain adaptation and higher working speeds. The walking tandem axle follows the contours of the ground up to 50% more smoothly and evenly compared to a standard tandem axle with the centre of gravity of the axle mounting located at the front of the rotor.

On the SIP Star 1250 50T Swather Rake, all six wheels are placed close to the spring arms so maximum rotor stability can be achieved, even at increased working speeds, or on steep terrain. The combination of active hydro-pneumatic suspension, 3D rotating rotor and rotating tandem rotors allows the machine to adapt perfectly to the terrain without contaminating the feed across the range of operating speeds. This also reduces the transfer of load through the machine.

A jockey wheel in front of the rotor ensures perfect ground tracking without the tines touching the ground. This enables faster work on varied terrain without damaging the spring tines and holders.and ensures that the working height is always set correctly. The turf stays undamaged, the swaths are clean, and the spring tines and holders have a longer lifespan.

The special cross-shaped hinges on the rotors allow free movement of the rotors and enable perfect 3D ground tracking independently of the chassis. The spring tines always stay parallel to the ground, which ensures clean swaths even at higher working speed.

The working height of the spring tines is adjustable, so the turf remains undamaged during raking, and the swath stays clean and free of dirt and other contaminants. Hydraulic working height adjustment is available and can be adjusted separately for the front and rear pair of rotors.

The electro-hydraulic steering system makes it easy to operate and is characterised by automatic folding between the transport and working positions, adjusting the working height of the front and rear pair of rotors and separate or partial lifting of the rotors when turning at the headlands or when driving over swaths.
